OK...another year...2010 is over! So it's been over four years. How many more years are we going to allow the union to block any more money coming to us?
Oh, they're great at politics and controversy...remember the rumors about Vince's demise? What about all of the reports that the hand-billing would save the union? How about all of the statements and promises by union "leadership"...has anything come true?
There always seems to be another big meeting just around the corner with some new big news, or with some unknown high powered savior of the union ready to help us. How many times have you received an email "ALERT" "CALL TO ACTION" "IMPORTANT MEETING" ...pretty soon they'll be dialing 911!
We heard that we'd have to strike...not over pay (because we don't want to look like money grubbers to the public) but over the disinfecting of ambulances. The Union President said in one of her emails that they're looking into "attempted murder" charges against management?...is this for real! Why can't they make a sensible argument and address real issues that are important to us?
One of the last emails cautioned "don't come to the meeting in uniform"....people are so sensitive to the disinfectant that even their coworkers uniforms are a problem? Then how are they working??? Or are they only sensitive while attending a union meeting? If OSHA finds no problem, will the people who said there were health effects be credible?
So...is it true that a medic reported to work sick and wheezing, went out to smoke three times, then had to be taken to the hospital and ended up being admitted? Is it true that they said he had "health effects" from exposure to the truck?
What is the truth? What does your gut tell you? Do you believe the stuff that's being released by the union leadership? What is their motivation? How does this all relate to getting a contract?
The union leadership continues to spin their wheels, and what do we have to show fo it?
Well, many of us think it's about time to put up or shut up. The holidays are here and we have no more money to help us out. The golden rule has been broken: People should never mess with other people's money.
If you feel that the union "leadership" does not posess the skills or experience...that we've given them enough time to paly around with our future... that we can't just wait around and expect that these people are going to do anything for us.....then you must take action for yourself and take back control:
We are strong together...We must Stand Together!
